Standley Steel Stockholders was formed in 1987 by Peter & Edward Standley on Edwards four acre freehold site at London Road Wymondham. Peter initially set the business up to stockhold a wide range of materials to service medium & small customers from all sections of the community. Ie :- Industry , Agriculture & the DIY market. It became apparent after a while that people also required material to be processed or fabricated and as we had the facilitys this became another extension to our business .
Over the proceeding years we have developed all areas of the business culminating in 1998 with a new 6000sq ft building being erected for fabrication which includes a Demag 5 ton overhead crane. We now have 11000sq ft of warehousing & fabrication facilities. We operate two 7.5 tonne delivery vehicles. One with a vehicle mounted crane and a 1 tonne pickup truck.
