Technical Advice

We currently have no minimum order quantities or invoice charge.
If you require your material cut to size, we can do this for you but, an additional charge may be made for additional cutting/ sawing.

We would prefer you to contact us beforehand especially if it is plate cutting. However we will try our best to accommodate you there and then if we can.
Collection of materials outside of our normal working hours can be made by prior arrangement.

As a company we can fabricate all manor of items, ranging from light fabrication, i.e. light sheet metal work, to large structural Items.

Our 6,000 sq. ft. workshop is equipped with a Demag 5 tonne overhead crane. We have four fork lift trucks, the biggest is able to lift 5 Tonnes. One of our forklifts is a JCB 3 Tonne Teletruk enabling single side Loading and off loading.

Items can be fabricated in Mild Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminium.

All finishing, Painting and Galvanising etc is handled by our third party suppliers.
We project manage to ensure a satisfactory result.

Delivery is charged based on the distance from our Wymondham depot.
Up to 40 miles, the charge would be £35.00 + VAT
Extra delivery charges may apply for larger loads or greater distances from our works.
Using our fleet of vehicles which can accommodate up to 6 tonnes carrying capacity.
All of our primary delivery lorries have vehicle mounted cranes on board.
However they are purely for offloading only.
We can deliver across the UK If required (Delivery cost available upon request)

Please note,
The heaviest item we can unload using our crane equipped vehicles is 3 tonnes at the minimum distance from the lorry.
For single items over 3 tonnes, you will need to arrange on-site offloading equipment. (Crane, forklift etc.)
We can advise on the weight of individual items.

No, just offload your items on site.

We are open from 7.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30am to 3pm on Friday’s.
We stay open at lunchtime. Saturday by prior arrangement.

Sorry we no longer do site erection.

We are able to undertake and organise CPA hire or Contract crane lifts. We oversee the work with our experienced team. Our staff are fully trained and have recognised qualifications. Standley Steel are fully insured, with a copy of this available upon request.

We are able to offer this through a third parties with whom we have worked for many years.

As an Air Products agent, we would require you to set up an Gas account with Air Products direct.
However we are able to assist with this, Forms are available from our Wymondham office.

We accept Cash, Credit & Debit card payments and BACS bank transfer, however please note: Cheque paid invoices will required cleared funds before release of goods.

No cheque payments can be accepted from non account holders.

Please call for an account application form as we require trade references prior to ordering or commencing any work.
